Summary | 0000016: Windows Vista & Windows 7 fail to boot in UEFI mode via QEMU
Description | Windows Vista and Windows 7 support UEFI on older systems, but in the VM configuration the UEFI implementation can't run correctly for those operating systems. There are a number of projects that try to address this (such as UEFIseven), but they may not be appropriate resolutions for users bringing their own ISOs or physical discs.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Attempt to install a Windows Vista or Windows 7 VM in UEFI 2. It will fail.
Additional Information | Currently, SE is installing these in Legacy BIOS mode.
